    • Hi, Aaron. Most of the health effects of camu camu are a result of its high vitamin C content, so the benefits presented here are in fact the benefits of vitamin C. Vitamin C is a nutrient shown to essentially activate the immune system against viruses (and other pathogens) and offer a certain level of prevention against viral infections as well as reduce severity and promote faster healing. Its effects extend over all manner of viral infection, from the common cold to more more serious viral infections. However, no two people may experience the exact same benefits or require the same amount of the nutrient and factors such as age, stress levels, diet, existing nutritional deficiencies or medical conditions all play a part in the end results.
